I have a 1980 malibu. i have power steering and the seal on my steering gear box blew out so im leaking a good amount of fluid. For some reason, I cant find a gear box that looks like mine. all of the other have the arm that comes down underneath the unit and mine has a spot where a line goes from the back of the power steering pump into the top of the steering gear box. does anyone know what type of box i have?

Im thinking it might be this one? if not this is very close to what mine actually looks like. the only thing is i think my power steering line goes into this box? but maybe it goes into the shaft that holds this box in, any ideas?

i wonder how hard it would be to convert back over to the stock gear box? I know for a fact that my car has a whole new steering column in it, so i bet they had replaced the whole steering unit. What does the pitman are hook up to?
Pitman Arm connects the Steering Box's Output Shaft to the Drag Link or Center Link.

Unless you have Rack & Pinion Steering you have to have a Pitman Arm.

I'm pretty sure that i do not have a rack and pinion. the car is stored away for the winter, so i cant really check it anytime soon. Did anyone check out the link i posted that look like my gear box? if that isnt the exact box its very similar.
