Hi Tom...good to here from you! Glad to hear you are getting yourself healthy...first priority in life. As everyone says, Facebook has taken over from this page, and every other forum, as well. Kinda depressing actually. I rarely come on here anymore, as it is very slow...post few and far between. Use to be you'd post a question or comment, and it would be answered while you were still logged in. Now it could be months. As far as where all the old threads are...evidently when a thread sits idle for 1 year, it disappears. I found that out with my sons '83 Monte build thread. 30-something pages of posts, and it's gone. Guys used to use that for reference on their own builds, but as Nicholas Cage says in "The Rock"...Vaporized!
. I don't have my Malibu anymore, but I found it after many years in NJ, and almost bought it back, but despite it being relatively nice for being built many years ago, but wanted too much $$ for something I know I'd probably blow apart and freshen back up and update. My son's both still have their Father/Son builds. Chad turned his 'Bu into an autocross car from more of a drag car (mid 10's his first time down the strip). Brett's twin turbo Monte is still being shown, has'nt drag raced it yet, but hopes to this summer. And instead of me buying my Malibu back, I bought my wife a low mileage (20,000 miles) Pontiac Solstice. I figured she deserved it after 3 builds in a row. As they say "happy wife, happy life"...
