Agreed. I don't believe XF will auto-close/delete threads by default, so that should be off. If I recall from GBF I have to set that up separate for the classifieds.

I looked and from what I can see the old threads are gone. I don't think phpBB let you "soft delete" them (so they can be undeleted) like XF will. So they're gone.

Can they be recovered from archive.org? Easy answer: yes...., real answer: It would be painful and time consuming process to recreate all the posts and threads, tie them back to the original authors etc. unless they were just snapshots of the original page from archive.org or something.

That said if there are specific threads that are gone and need restoring, send me links and I can see what I can do. can't promise anything.

As for the FB group, I don't know who the admins are, I'm not one. I still can't figure out why the split happened, or like it did. I wasn't around here at all when it went down. Don't know if it was a "hostile" split or what. I still need to get with the admins of it and find out the real deal and what to do.

Not sure I'm interested in combining things tbh.

How are you, Darren? When you mentioned Malibu Lightning, did you actually mean Malibu Thunder? I recall that some of the old Malibu Thunder crew is over at facebook. I don't do facebook.
In fact I still have a few Thunder decals, They've since dried out.
