th350 I put it in park and rolls I shut it off and it locks

I have a th350 in my malibu and when I put it in park it dosent lock in it wants to roll so I shut the car off and iy locks into place like it should. What seems to be the problem here?

you need to readjust your linkage on the shifter.

the linkage on the steering column inside the engine compartment that goes down to the transmission needs adjustment
