yep, only some of them though. i believe starting in 81. they are all the th350c. i think the trans code is mx4 or mv4 i cant remember what exact one. mine came factory with it. i think some of the monte ss's came with it in the first year or something too.

yessir the '83 & '84 Monte SS came with the 350c.
I will send you a PM now so I have it saved. I have a bunch of stuff in a storage trailer for work and the crate with the motor and trans from the SS is in there too. Next time I need something out of the trailer I will send you a PM to let you know I have the goods on my dock.

also thanks SSedan64 for the link. would that mean that stall is rated at 2000ish rpm on the v6? so would it stall higher on my sbc? also does that site retail in North America?

im assuming the im looking for either a 229 or am i looking for a 4.3L one? the buick 231 wont work im assuming?

Yes, stall would be higher in a V8.

Also the SS-Monte 350C did have a higher stall than most 350C's.
Not sure about which models/engines to look for.

hey i found a little info on the SS converter. supposedly rated at 1900 rpm. mine seems to brake stall at around 1400 rpm.
