Th400 shifting problem

I have a Th400 trans and it doesnt wanna shift manually it is a fresh rebuild, it shifts fine just normal driving even if i get on it shift hard n firm but will not shift if i shift it, I have been told to put a manual valve body in it and that should do it. would this solve the problem?

is the module hooked up? (vacum line)

yeah the module is hooked up and it does shift fine, I even unhooked it and tried it but when it come to getting down on it hooked up or not it wont shift manually :-k

Manual Detent Valve or Manual Detent Regulator Valve may be binding/sticking in Valvebody.
If you install a Manual Valvebody all up & down shifts will be manual.
