I have the weld on style kit and it works great. The calipers will need to be mounted on the rear of the axle. Also the bracket needs to be modified to allow the caliper to mount slightly down (in the 4-5 o'clock position for the left) This will allow it to clear the frame. My kit works great with a bypassed factory prop. valve (rear only) and an adjustable valve on the rear. The front is all stock. I used the weld on metric kit with the steel hats since I have a 9in. Using the alum. hats would mount the calipers closer to the wheels and should clear the frame with no problem, but you would need to check wheel clearance. I could take some pics if needed.
