whats the biggest drag radial you can fit on a 84 olds cutlass. with out having to notch the frame. thanks

assuming you have a 7 or 8 inch rim, a 275/60/15 fits perfect. you might(huge might) be able to step to a 295 60, but only on an 8" rim, and you will most likely need to clearance the wheelwell lips by rolling or trimming them. that scenario is usually case-by-case, since no 2 cars are exactly the same.

They will fit but will rub the frame when cornering or going ove a lip

I have a 79 malibu and im runnin 15x10's with 295/50/15 BFG Radial T/A's in the back without notching and norubbing. But the back end of my car is raised about 2 inches higher though.

295/50R15 on a 15x10 wheel and 4 inch backspace. you will have .75" clearance between the frame and tire but the tire will stick out a bit. i will look for the pics of this setup on my old cutlass.

That is kind of my thoughts. do you think with a full notch, a stock width housing, and 5.5 inch backspace you could fit those 295/50s on a 10 inch wheel under neath completely? Possibly without minitubs.
