tires

i know everybody likes to run 275/60/15 how can that be done with no mods and no rubbing? im looking for a tire rim combo for my 79 malibu and keep running into problems. what backspace is the rim for that tire size to fit in wheel wells?im planning on 235/60r 15 for the front with 4.5 backspace. its just the rear im having trouble. either they dont make the rim backspace or they dont make the tire size. im ready to order but want to make sure everything fits without having any problems or having to modify anything. thanks for any help appreciate it casey


p.s. 15x8 rims with 4.5 backspace is what i want to purchase. all the way around.

Hey, I just put Centerline rims and tires on my 78 and I ran 15x8 all around and looks great. I ran 15x 8 with 3.5 back spacing on all rims and i have 215-60-15 in front and 295-50-15 in rear with "no frame notching , just a small fender lip role . The 295-50-15's are great and are wider and not as tall as 275-60-15 wich are to tall . Your car will sit nice and low with a mean stance ...
