I've been doing a little research and found the TR-6060 that the current Camaro SS/ZL1 uses is internally the same as a T-56 Magnum. The difference is the Camaro uses a remote shifter design tailhousing like many newer rwd cars. I've also seen talk that the tailshaft housing can be changed, but I'm trying to find more info. Since they still bolt up to an LS and use the same case bolt pattern (far as I can tell), I was thinking of using the Gear Box's adapter plate that will allow use of a T-56 with an LS input shaft, and find a T-56 tailhousing with a regular shifter if it's possible.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
