whats the cam specs? intake manifold? desired rpm range. converter slippage? always count in converter slippage when figuring trap rpm. the heavier the car the more slippage is likely because you need a looser converter to get the wieght moving.
Changing your gears to the steeper 4.10 will cause you convertor to "tighten" up a little bit too. The extra gear will multiply your torgue and move your car easier, much like reducing the weight. I would try the gear change alone, before swapping out the convertor.
