What is the internal difference?

What is the internal difference between the 5.3, LS1, LS6?

I have a chance to get a camaro with an LS6 in it right now. The guy also has an STS turbo kit w/ the GT67 and new forged internals for the engine.

I was wondering if you could bore the 5.3 out, the pistons he has is 25mm over speed pro forged, rods are scat.

Is the factory crank good enough for the power levels that the turbo system has the potential of producing?

cranks are good for 1000 hp, yes u can bore a 5.3...my opinion with a good tune is the stocker can live for awhile as long as you don't get greedy with the boost level...

It would be easy to set here and tell yo uthat I dont plan on gettng greedy with the boost level, but once you feel the power its like a drug you want more.

In the trade that I am doing the guy already has the .25mm forged pistons. So I would like to save a little bit on money and utilize them in the build. Over on LS1tech I have been getting differences in opinions on if the standard 5.3 could be bored out that big (to the .25mm over stock on the LS1) or not.
