I'm using the TransDapt 4592 mounts. They work OK. If you want to maintain the stock A/C location, it won't work. It interferes with the stock A/C Bracket (on the truck motor anyways). The truck pan hangs down too low for my comfort. I've got a CTS-V oil pan on order. It is supposed to be in today or tomorrow. I will post how it fits.

Roller406Bu is also using the TransDapt mounts. 455_82Malibu is using S-10 LS1 conversion mounts. Not sure about the others?

I worked from the back (transmission) forward, so I could use the stock GN driveshaft, wherever the motor landed thats where I put the pads. Pan hangs about 2.5" below . but I still have about 5+ inches ground clearence....Ill have to go measure.

I am using the Transdapt motor mount adapter plates, stock Gbody clamshells, and stock frame side mounts with new poly bushings. First, if you have truck accessories, you will need to move the motor back 1-1.25" so the PS pulley will clear. Pan is very very close to the top of the engine crossmember, rear sump clears the frame fine.

Now using the truck pan, I have roughly 3.75" of ground clearance. Thats with 26" tall front tires. My SS is fairly low, my control arms are just about inline with the engine crossmember. I'm waiting to see how the CTS-V pan fits, hopefully itll work out.

Did you have to drill, or were there holes that lined up? Also, did you have enough clearance for all the pulleys? If so I might go this route :)

pulleys cleared fine, I just tack welded the pads to the frame...so I didnt care where the holes matched up, I think one side a few holes lined up, but one side didnt.

I thought I read on one swap where they turned the plate around, and mounted the clamshell upside down, which moved the whole mount assembly back on the crossmember to clear the A/C.

But, I've read about a hundred different swap threads, so it all tends to run together.

tight clearance isn't an issue reallly. As long as your mounts dont flex a ton (or you run an eengine limiter). All the 5.3 s10 swaps are veerryyy close to the crossmember and so far no problems. Im actually going to shim my motor mount up a little on the passenger side just to be safe.
