My old daily driver 88 Suburban has a TBI 350 engine in it. I want to install an Autometer tach to keep track of the revs when towing. It doesn't have a regualr HEI dist in it. It has a small cap dist with seperate coil and brain box and I don't know where to hook up the feed to the tach at! If you know for sure please let me know. Thanks!

It has the separate coil? There should be a small two wire harness that runs from the coil to the distributor. Those are NOT the wires you need. There should be another connector to the coil, one a larger pink wire. If there is also a white wire there, that is the tach signal.

I hook up a sunpro tach on my 1989 K1500 and the Green tach wire goes to the white or brown wire on the coil.
10-4, Thanks guys! I hooked up a tach on one of these years back and it fried the tach and I couldn't remember which wire I ended up using. Didn't want to do that again!
