if your buying any nos stuff i would really suggest steve johnson from induction solutions to set you up with an edelbrock plate ,,or get a speed tech in my expeirence the components with the speed tech plate are all that and a bag of chips and worth the extra money ..
i run a speed tech 2 stage ..love it ..but my car ran good with a 2 stage big shot and a zex stage 6 parimeter plate ..the zex is harder to flow with the 2 seloniods makes it a bit more difficult for track side changes ..

x2 on the Steve Johnson He also recommended the edelbrock kit to me. I was told a main thing to watch is solenoid quality!!

edelbrocks quality and bang for the buck is superb.. talk to Steve from induction solutions on a plate and he'll set ya up and go through the solenoids and jets plus give you tune ups and you can call him just about day/night for tuning help.
nx is also a great plate
zex.. heard its great for looks

speedtech.. heard from a few annonomous top n2o gurus its an excellent product because its some new gimic and it sells and makes them money but for performance/tuning it is lacking quite a bit.
The thing I dont like about it is that its based on a 4-hole spacer and you run your carb spacer on top of that and how well can it work if using a 4-hole tapered carb spacer to hit a wall of 4 holes with their plate? And you cant run it above the spacer because of their difuser that sticks out of the bottom.

i talked to steve about what you were talking about with the difuser plate and being a new gimmik..but of all the plates ive used i had great results with it ..i dont run a carb spacer however ..
i have put 600 hp(300 per stage ) worth of nos through my 404 sbc with 23 degree heads and picked up the advertised whp number with good distribution according to the plugs .(after playing with the tune up a bit on the speed tech plate )..all of the other single spray bar plates i have used in the past fell off before that ..the stage 6 parimiter plate i had was only good for about 400 hp ..

im going to be getting my first nitrous plate system and i would llike some feed back on which systems you guys have used and like, i want a system that can produce up to a 300 shot.Ive been looking at the zex perimeter plate and the nitrous express gemini twin stage 6 system( its a single stage system crazy name).they are both perimeter systems. the car isnt going to be raced week in and out, so i dont need some really expensive system like a proflow or speedtech system, thanks.

If your looking for a simple out of the box deal you cant beat a BigShot plate but if your looking for
and all out competition plate system..tuned flowed and that will make Superior power
you can't get better than this guy http://www.montesmithperformance.com/

good luck
