There are a couple of good machine shops around that can do this. I want to widen a pair of 15x7 pontiac rally II's that I have to 15x8-9-10. I know they're available aftermarket but I'm always lookin' to save a buck or two. Has anyone had this done and can give me what would be a fair price? Better yet, anyone own a couple they'd part with for cheap? I'm keeping my wagon as much pontiac as I can in appearance.
Thanks

I'd be interested in finding out as well. Same wheel too, for our 79 Firebird. Would like to have the backs widened to 15x10.

I've been wanting to do this to some 70's z28 wheels for my malibu. It probably wouldnt be worth making your own unless someone can do it as a favor.

I had my Centerline Convo-Pro's widened a few years back.

Cost was $150-175 per wheel.

Just checked with Wheel Vintiques, $176 new per wheel, and you'd only pay for shipping one way (15x10). Powdercoat is only $156 for 15x10. Smaller sizes are even cheaper.

Maybe I'm just too cheap. It's all relative I suppose. Can't afford that. I'll have to check local pricing and then look for an ePay deal. Most folks are tossin' 15's now. Maybe I'll get blessed.

I've used Vaughn before on some 15x6 TorqThrusts. I had them widened to 15x8" (to get a wider wheel w/better back-spacing) for my x-hwy patrol Stang. It was $150 each back in 97.

I have widened a set of steel rims before using a brake lathe made to turn rotors and drums. But I had to have 4 rims to do it.

Just call me the "Shade Tree do-it-your selfer"...hehehe!

My Convo pro wheels were 15 x 8.5 with 5" b.s.

They cut the back of the rim off and then added a wider rear rim section making the rim 1" wider and giving 1" more back space to 9.5". The front of the wheel is stamped and it's not practical to try and change the spacing of the front half.

For me it was cheaper to have my rims widened compared to having to buy all new rims on all four corners.
