Will a 275/50/15 ET street radial (MT) fit in the wheel well without a frame notch on my 79 malibu ? And if so, what size wheel and offset would it take ? I don't realy want to use a 60 series because there alot taller (don't want rake). However the 50 series is wider. I would go with the 50 series if I only have to roll the lip. Oh, and my car has the 10 bolt still in place. The 275/50/15 would look soooo cool though.... 8)

275/50/15 ET STREET RADIAL AND BF GOODRICH RADIAL DIMENSIONS

Here are the dimensions for the 275/50.15 ET Street radials and the BFG radiAL

Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial:
Tread width 10.0", Section width 11.30" , Diameter 26.0" .

BF Goodrich radial:
Tread width 8.9", Section width 11.20", Diameter 25.9".

I had a friend that had 8" welds with 3.5" back space with 275/50/15
BFG radials on his malibu. He said they cleared with no modifications.
The only reason I question the ET street radials is because the tread width
is 1.1" more. But if you notice the section width is almost identical. So I'm thinking that they would work on an 8" wheel with 3.5" of backspace. at the very most I might have to roll the lip. Any input on this brainfart ? 8)

10" rim

What was the backspace on that 10" wheel ? And did you still have the 10 bolt rear end ? :)
