I been wondering, i need to take my wheels off my Bu so i can polish them, so once i do ill be running my corvette ralleys so i was wondering if a corvette ralley dished like factory(4" Backspacing) will fit under it with a 275/60 on it.. Right now im running these 7" wide wheels (4" B.S.) with 255/70's with no rubbing at all.

Also when i say Corvette Ralleys i mean being 8" Wide, theres no telling how many arguements ive been in over people calling the 7" Wide Ralleys Corvette Ralleys..

I thought i had seen some people around here running a 275/60 on a 8" wide wheel but wasnt for sure if the frame was notched and so forth. i noticed though when i first got the car it had the corvette's on it with 235/70's on the back sittin stock heigth and it didnt look like it would take much lowering before it would rub. When i put the 255/70's on the back it had a rack to it so i lowered it probably close to 1 1/2" or so to bout level it back out.

what rear end is in the car thats going to make a difference if your going to need to cut or roll the lips i had them on my car w/ a 68 12 bolt and needed to roll the lip if your using a stock width rear they bolted right up on my car

Not to hijack the thread (too much) but Vettes DID get 7" Ralleys. I forget what year they went to 8".

i do believe your correct but most people think of a "vette " rally as an 8 inch

why cant we leave the vette out of it all together and just say 8" rally? just think that would solve all the bickering. 8) any way 275 60 15 will fill the wheel well i also dont have stock springs that give me some lift back there

Yea im running a stock rearend which is the problem with my car right now. Weak point and air plain gear. But it still holds its own.

Yea i thought maybe 7" came on em at sometime but to me a true Corvette Ralley is the 8"s.

go for 8'' , a 275 doesnt fit all to great on a 7 inch rim it really bows the sidewall. you'll get a much better profile on an 8

I have 8" Ralley's w/4" BS on mine with nothing but rolled fender lips and not any easy driving issues. They should fit and look nice. 8)
