Yep, we're finally getting semi-serious about getting this thing running. We got out today and finished the plumbing of the fuel system. Started in the front and worked our way back.
Here's the fuel rail adapter fittings, Russell Performance P/N 640850 for the 3/8" feed line and P/N 640860 for the 5/16" return line:
This is with the #6 AN push-loc fittings and #6 hose installed:
Kinda hard to see, but here is the fuel lines running underneath the heater box. I believe I should have plenty of clearance from the manifold and exhaust pipe. Right now I have it tie-wrapped in place. I bought some hose hangers, but they were too small and crimped the line (even though they are supposed to be for #6 AN line). So, I gotta get some more that won't crimp the lines:
Here you can see the lightweight "IceMember" in the foreground and the fuel lines running along the frame rail in the background:
Closer shot. Again, I plan on getting fuel line hanger clamps to replace most of the tie-wraps:
Over the rear frame rail:
This is above the rear axle, which is the trunk floor directly in front of the fuel tank. You can see the OEM style fuel fiter with AN adapters on the supply line. The other line is the return line:
Here is where it goes and connects to the tank. The hose dangling is the vent hose, which was not connected when I snapped this shot. Also notice the red wire that will run to the front to power the fuel pump:
Here is the tank bolted in with a few wires and hoses left to connect at this point:
Here's a shot to show how well the filler neck fits:
While we were out there, I test fitted the drivers side F-body exhaust manifold (Ebay specials). Perfect fit!:
Here's the driver's side exhaust manifold from the bottom side. Like I said, perfect fit:
OK, our next items on the to-do list:
* Plumb the transmission cooler lines to the radiator.
* Mount and plumb the remote oil filter to the Moroso oil pan.
* Plumb the power steering lines from the pump to the steering box.
Until Next time.......
