ZEX nitrous systems

Anyone use anything from ZEX? I have a NOS Cheater kit on my chevy wagon, but I am moving it to my turbo Buick to aid in spool-up before the meth takes over. I see zex has a cool looking box that integrates the soleniods and has a fuel/nitrous flow monitor to keep the in line. Just curious on everyones experiance with these guys if any.

zex is good but i would use an edelbrock kit, check out yellowbullet.com and there nitrous section. bunch of stuff on there about it. but if i was you i would get a plate system from induction solutions

Well, I have a plate kit now. But I was looking into the nozzle set-up so i can put it in the up pipe before the throttle body. I was originally just gonna use all my NOS cheater stuff, except for the plate.

I'll head over to yellowbullet and check out the info there.

the zex systems have a nice feature as they are a stand alone, if there is not enough nitrous pressure or fuel pressure they will not inject any nitrous saving any nasty nitrous explosions or over fueling due to lack or no nitrous

that's exactly why i am looking at the ZEX turbo nitrous kit. Or at least buying the controller used in the turbo kit. I'll be using using 75 horse jets max anyway, just to aid in spooling the turbo before the meth/alky comes on. (I'll be running Methanol) Running lean is the last thing I want on my little turbo 6

I ran them on mustangs and loved them. They are simple to hook up. And have lots of built in safety. Also built in WOT switch in the ones I used. Only thing is that the most it will spray is a 175 but if you are using it to spool that shouldnt be and issue.

Cool, thanks guys. blumonte, I read a few post over the web with the mustang guys using the kit. The one I was looking at tapped into the TPS to arm it, and used an adjustable hobbs switch to turn it off at a set boost level. Thanks again guys!

yeah that would work, I was gunna suggest a boost control (from 0-7psi) just for when you gain boost it will shut off the nitrous and no melting pistons, let me know how it works I wanna get my buddy to take that system and use it on his turbo car to eliminate turbo lag. But his id a stick car so I don't know if it will have to come on after the two step to 7psi or whatever.

yup, that's what the hobbs switch will be for, a boost pressure switch. I can adjust it from like 5 -12 or something. there are different switches for different ranges. Right now it is set-up for 18 psi in 1st/2nd, and 16 psi 3rd/4th gears. When the meth/alky kit is installed, I can crank it up some more. I planned on running 22psi at the track with the meth/alky kit, race fuel and the n2o
