I think this carb was originally from a boat. Its weird.

The lockup on my car was thru the ecu and triggered by a signal from the speedo. I have not wired it up yet, when i do ill take pics for sure.

Got the car out last night. Took some fiddling on the carb and timing. Its not 100% but its pretty good.

Nothing, but I've been toying with the idea of finding a El Camino out here to replace my rusty '92 full size pickup... transfer the drivetrain from it, rebuild the suspension/body bushings and call it a daily driver.

I know, right? :D The truck is kind of another project, was driveable, etc. until the trans gave out, need to rebuild it and address some suspension/steering before anything else on it. The Malibu still has a ways to go.

Last night I modified my 7.5 Gov Lock Posi to a LSD by following this link

I used a 8.8 forf posi S spring and have over 150ft/lbs breakaway torque. Should be good for drag racing but it may chatter around the city. Will soon find out lol.

What year radio bezel is that? Or did you cut it?

The bezel came out fro the later montes. They already have the 1.5 din opening no cutting at all. The trim actually goes over the Hvac radio opening instead of recessed like the original one.

This is the piece I have but I got it at a junk yard.

I'm upgrading a little bit to the 1.5 din style radio. Need something a little newer than the two knob.

I'm sure it'll tighten up the frame even if it's something I won't feel directly.

I reinstalled the plastic trim and seats in the interior. Plastic trim is all the trim around the door.

I put some body filler on 2 low spots. Also making hood adjustments, trying to get it level with passenger fender. Made a little progress with the adjustment. Need to give it more thought before I proceed.
