This was my solution: http://www.jegs.com/i/Spectre/865/4713/10002/-1?CT=999
If you have an Autozone near you, (that has an employee with more than half a brain) give them the part number and they can order it for you for $13
AFAIK the stock rear speakers were 4 x 10. My 79 MC and my 82 Mali were, at least, in my experience. My solution in both cases was these adapters: http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=7786#tabsanchor You bolt the adapters to the speakers and use the metal "wishbone" to hold them in place.
When the Accel Coil was installed did the ballast resistor get bypassed. Points get 12v when cranking and drop down to 9 when in the run position? If it's getting 12v constantly it'll burn it up
LIke the title says, I was cruising last Sat night when all of a sudden I hear a noise like soft metal on a bench grinder then no gears. Long story short fluid looks fine, smells fine, even tastes fine  but when it came time to roll it off the flat bed, no go. The guy had to shake my poor...
Re: Grill/plastic trim repair?
^^^ Thanks for the input. I started feeling a bit experimental today so I decided I would attempt to "weld" new plastic into the grill for the repair. I used a scrap computer drive bay blank for the patch and also cut thin strips of the same to use as "filler...
My grill is missing a 1/2 x 1/4 inch chunk in the upper corner, is there anyway to repair this? Also my tail light bezel is cracked, any special glue or epoxy that will hold up?
Seem to be a decent "average" tire to me. That's a rather short tire though, 25 in tall. IMO i like the look of at least 26 in tall on A/G bodies: 235/65
Yup, i was poking around with the test light the other day checking some grounds, just happened to "brush" against the clamp and.. light!!! :-k I didn't believe it at first, but it's in no obvious way in direct contact with any other metal. I showed the one tech at my work, i thought his head...
X2 on the timing. My 350 likes ALOT of timing, but I found out the first time i went to restart it that I had to back it down a degree or 6 :D
I forgot to mention the star washers as well, they help "bite" into the metal and make better ground.
Also how is your starter to block ground...
Mine is battery to block (alternator bracket actually) Then I have 2 uninsulated braided- copper ground straps from the firewall to the back of each cylinder head.
I let a Th350 sit outside for 2 years on cinder blocks with just a garbage bag over it to keep leaves/snow off of it. Worked just fine until I accidentally shifted it into reverse going 65MPH  #-o
My bu i had was a single and the brakes were nice and firm, tho not too firm. Seemed to stop the car just fine. My MC has the dual and can stop with ALOT less effort tho I have to be careful in the rain as to not lock the front wheels.
That being said if you don't plan to drive in rain or can...
Oh man, as if I'm not addicted to this board enough :D Can't wait to see the final product. And slimbo5 u have my sympathies, as my dad long a go threw in his hot roddin wrench and has become corrupted by high MPG point A to B imports :(
I've had my eye on these for quite a while. My only concern is the aluminum cross shaft holding up on the horrible Pennsylvania roads I have to drive on. Will they hold up to the harshness of pot holes and the occasional running over of groundhogs?
Did u try autozone?

Yeah, i was thinking pickup coil as the next culprit, but wasn't sure how to test it. I'll have to check it out after work today.
Thanks everybody, and especially Doober --Josh
