    700R4 boost valve removal

That's what I'm wondering. I did have a weird thing start yesterday (Thursday). Took my girlfriend to class (~20 miles 1 way) and it drove fine. Work was nearby so I stopped by to check tire pressure since I haven't checked them in months (holding up quite well actually). On the way back I...

    700R4 boost valve removal

Everything together and running! For some reason I'm getting earlier (but consistent) shifts, I'm thinking it may be something to do with the combination of all the parts. Everything shifts good & positive, both partial and WOT, just earlier than what I need (5000 range is what I'm going for).

    700R4 boost valve removal

I did quite a bit of research and went with these for the 3-4 pack. https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/product.php?productid=166&cat=52&page=1 I also got a stock width Alto carbon fiber band from PATC (#11CF). http://www.transmissioncenter.org/700r4_Parts_List.htm#Bands I got the pin out, and the...

What did U do to your G-body today??

Y'know I was going to pull the sending unit out of mine, but the lock ring was getting so beat up from trying to remove it, I just let it be.

    Wheel Studs!

Well... We actually had an '80ish El Camino come in. Half the studs were metric and half were standard. The shank/spline of the stud has to match the opening in the flange/rotor, besides which you can use whatever thread you want (I think it's either 1/2"-20 or 12mmx1.5 or 12mmx1.25). .. we...

Interesting post I found on FSC

http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forum/general-discussion/performance/tbi-tuning-87-95-obd-i-ecm-pcm/525569-thought-some-you-might-find-interesting.html I like the look, much cleaner. The only downside is doing any type of wiring work afterward.

    360demonRT's 78 build

It always seems the stock size LS engines are lacking in the low end, not the case with my Vortec-headed 383... which is why I'd probably do like a 6.0-based 408 or similar, probably with stock or L92 heads and a semi-mild cam.

Garage door opener in the visor!!!

I don't know how it fits, but the overhead consoles from the S-Series and full size trucks/SUVs from the '90s/'00s are a nice touch too.

    360demonRT's 78 build

Lookin' good :D I might do an LS swap in mine someday, but it will no doubt be a big stroker.

17x9 with 275 on the front

Sweet. Mine sits low like StreetBu's, and I think the lowering spindles on mine pushed the wheels out some, probably why they stuck out like they did. When I had 17s, the fender lip would touch the tire if I bounced the suspension, but they cleared the frame fine (275/40/17 on 17x9.5). If I...

    stroker oil pan problem

I don't know how clearance is on the old blocks, but I have the stock pan on the 383 in my truck, late model block, and it clears the crank fine... ... I have the same block/pan in the '78 with stock motor mounts, and it clears the crossmember just fine as well.

    8.5

The angle in the cover makes me think 8.2", but the ears on the bottom appear to be a corporate 8.5 (likely just as strong as the other 8.5). Stock 8.2" cover 8.5" corporate Maybe Monzaz, Tommy or a few of the other guys will chime in, they probably know a bit more about this than me.

Garage door opener in the visor!!!

Searched Google right quick, appears it was in the later C4 Corvettes (up to '96)... probably in later years too.

    Pics of AN transmission lines?

I'm actually vaguely considering this myself for the '92... the radiator isn't stock so I had to bend the lines a little when I went from a 20" to a 34" radiator, and right now the trans is out and waiting for me to buy some parts to put in it, so I figured this is a good of time as any... I...

    Dual Exhaust Question

I have Hooker Competition (formerly) ceramic coated (now rust coated) headers, and a full size starter. I can remove the starter, although tight... actually had to pull it out when I was still driving the '81, lying on the ground next to the car one time at a campground, it sits slightly lower...

    Dual Exhaust Question

I put both sides in from the bottom, helps a LOT if you remove the starter and oil filter.

    Dual Exhaust Question

I was going off what one of the guys at the testing center in Tucson told me. I told him about bringing the Malibu out from MI that has zero emissions equipment on it.

    Dual Exhaust Question

Here in AZ, there are now emission tests every 2 years... used to be annual, and only in the Tucson and Phoenix metro areas, AZ is mostly desert with smaller towns/cities scattered about. The vehicle must have the emission equipment original to it, if newer than 1967 (last I read, I think...

    Dual Exhaust Question

Interesting... here in AZ you can run more, but not less than, what the vehicle came with.
