    Having electrical problems

They connect to the same terminal on the starter as the big battery cable. You'll know if they're burned, gman415 posted a pic just a few posts up.

It's mounted to the steering column down by the firewall. Have you checked the fusible links yet? I've never seen an ignition switch do what you're describing, though it's not like it can't happen.

What did U do to your G-body today??

OH... I put the heater box on finally, got a box of 3M strip caulk from CarQuest, $25  Upside is I can use it to temporarily plug a few small holes until I get it out to AZ. I also put the center portion of the ductwork in, I think I have some missing small parts :x

What did U do to your G-body today??

I used the fuse for the gauges, then if they didn't work I knew the fans wouldn't be working. What fans/wiring kit did you use? I think I'm going back to electric eventually, I like the look a lot more than a clutch fan, and the difference in power one way or the other (alternator HP or clutch...

What did U do to your G-body today??

Idiot lights use pressure/temperautre switches, so if you really wanted you could probably tee off the pressure fitting and use one of the fittings in the intake for the temperature switch.

My guess is fusible link, they're connected down on the starter to the same terminal as the battery from the factory.

    new transmission tunnel humps?

Yep, found those guys a while back, now they just need to start carrying the boot/ring and trim piece.

    Rear swaybars

Crap. Well I guess something new learned every day, eh? I know the '84-'87 Fieros don't handle as well partially from their 'borrowed' rear suspension from the Citation (I believe, one of those little FWD cars), '88 was better, but since they're mid-engine and from what I understand Pontiac...

Lost drivehsaft at speed, damage ensued.............

I don't know how strong your Iceman support is, but I have a stock notched crossmember and I can shake the tailshaft of the trans up & down like crazy, it's like the crossmember is a flimsy piece of sheetmetal. I'm thinking of adding some gussets on the front/rear of the crossmember (means I'll...

    Rear swaybars

That would be a cool factory upgrade :D I remember reading about 1LE bushings as an upgrade to stock on the MonteSS forum, being somewhere between stock and poly. Something else I remember reading is (granted this definitely isn't the case here) if you go too big on the rear bar, the...

Lost drivehsaft at speed, damage ensued.............

Ouch! Did a u-joint seize? If that happened it could have caused major vibration in a short time frame.

    Lets see some engine pics

Very cool :awesome: I want to build one for my Malibu, but use a set of stock valve covers & make it look close to a stockish small block

    Controlling wheel hop?

Less weight, sometimes. A tubular arm sometimes doesn't have provision for a rear sway bar either. On a side note I may be making a run up to Pinckney this weekend to deliver a set of wheels.

Just some pics of my LQ9 motor...finally done and painted!!

Re: Just some pics of my LQ9 motor...finally done and painte Some orange pinstriping on the covers would probably look good if you were going for a color-themed engine, I'm more partial to gray/black with just a few accents, not necessarily car color-related.

Re: Just some pics of my LQ9 motor...finally done and painte This going in a tractor? ;) :D \:D/ :awesome: I'm guessing it could be the color of your car? Looks like one of those colors that looks black from a distance.

    700r4 swap

My dad had an '89 Pontiac Safari wagon (Parisienne, not sure of the difference between the two) that I believe had a 2004R, seemed to shift early. That thing was such a dog to begin with though and we got rid of it before I was out of high school.

Converting column to lever lock (manual trans)

Ok. Well along with converting to lever lock, I would also be doing the stalk-mounted wiper switch. It's already on the column and it feels more natural there because it's the only thing I've ever known besides the '81 (and newer cars with the lever-activated switch on the right side of the...

    700r4 swap

I believe the only difference in a GN trans is servo and valving, I don't think it's anything too major that wouldn't get changed with a rebuild anyway. That's the other thing about 200s, I believe they're more expensive to build up, but if it's going to be in there a while I think it's worth...

    700r4 swap

My 4-speed has a somewhat similar spacing to the 2004R, and it's quite nice, definitely better than a 700R4.

What did U do to your G-body today??

Put the shifter in, new Hurst Pit Pack (steel bushings instead of the crummy plastic ones).
