so they should say the model or casting number on the end of the head? driver's side or passenger side?
I'm not sure they are the Iron Eagles. Has Dart ever made any other cast iron heads? They are 1st generation SBC heads with perimeter bolts, not center bolts.
hmm... I haven't had them off yet. Maybe that would be a good investment of time to find out exactly what I've got. And maybe could find something awesome under there.
Thanks for all the input.
Ok. I believe you. So what about something like these? Would they be worth it since they're quite a bit cheaper than other shaft-mount systems?

any particular reason why or why not?
I wouldn't think that multiple companies would have a product that just doesn't work and all designed basically the same.
I do see that almost every performance engine with roller rockers on them are using guideplates at least though. Maybe I'm just being...
as far as I know they are cast iron Dart heads. I bought the car with them already on their and haven't had a need to dig into the engine yet to find out the casting numbers and model of them.
Also, I was thinking of using the 1.6 full rollers if this would be a good idea.
Neither one of you seem to be on the same page as me. I'm referring to these for use on a 1st generation small block chevy...

These have full roller tip and fulcrum with the alignment rails built into the roller tip, so they should...
Ok, another update...
I am waiting to hear back from Speedway if they will sell their brackets, PN# 91031928-1, by themselves.
Also, on their kit, with these brackets, they specifically say in their instructions that the rotors are from a "'93 to '97 Camaro"...
I saw that a couple weeks ago... I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it.
But how much? I'm so lazy and don't like to pick up the phone to call them to ask just one question.
hey, thanks a lot. That's what I was thinking. So the front mount T56 shifter position would fit almost perfectly.
Does anyone know of any 5-speed options that will hold up that have a modified shifter position close to that? I know of the TKO series, but any others?
I am looking for the stock 4-speed shifter distance from the bellhousing. I am wanting to do a manual swap and all the 5 and 6 speeds have distances for their shifters from the bellhousing, but I don't know what the stock shifter distance was, so I can try to duplicate it. I am trying to do...
real sorry about leaving you all hanging on this thread, I got out of the g-body game for a while, but I should be back in with flying colors here in just a few weeks.
Yes, the speedway brackets are the same and will work...
Or you can shop here and get pretty much all the braces brand new...

Look into all these bracing ideas... They seemed to help a lot of other people out in the area of just general flexing...

Anyone ever thought of running a switch to shut the voltage regulator off in the alternator to keep the drag down during a race, just while you run the 1/4 and then turn it back on? Anyone think this would be worth it? or would the decrease in voltage actually cost you power from the less...
so I just read on another forum that the V6 cars had a different size sway bar than the V8 cars. Is this true? If so, I need to get my hands on the right sway bar for the front since my car was originally a 3.8 and now has a 350 in it.
I was also wondering what else might be different in the...
