I want to use a P275 R 60 tire on my 81 Camino. I'm getting ready to order some wheels and I was wondering if I can use a 4.5 inch backspace on an 8 inch ralley wheel without rubbing. I'm gonna switch to a wider rearend in the future and would like the extra half inch backspace.

PS I'm planning an 8.8 swap and the rear is about 3 1/2 inches wider than the factory. (61 1/2") Maybe I should just wait and get some 5 inch backspace after the install? The car is prolly gonna sit high enough to clear the tires. I just picked up some cargo coils. I just don't want them sticking out a mile. Thanks again. Josh.
