295 tire fit on my stock malibu

i hear people notching their frames for 295 tires, all i used was a 5/16ths wheel spacer to fit a 295/60/15 on with weld drag lites. i had a tiny rubbing issue but it wasn't much, so why has anyone else had the problem?

i never got pictures, i took the wheels off the car and loaned them to a friend for the winter, ill see if i can get a wheel back from him to take a picture.

Depends on if you care if they stick out or not.

I prefer my tires to fit UNDER the car completely with no chance of rubbing the quarter panel.

A M/T 295/65-15 D/R tire measures at 12"+ section width on a 10" rim.

i not sure, but i think i had them on a 9 inch rim, i just had to roll the lip a tiny bit
