Looking at a new set of front wheels and they come in 1 3/4" and 2 5/16 back spacing. Which one works best?

the past 2 sets i have had, i went with the least back spacing....
My reasoning to it is, with less backspacing you are wideing the front stance and also can help some for stability.
my other reason was, with the less backspacing, i have less chance of rubbing the headers on locked turns.
