Hey Fellas

Tons of great info on here. I just bought a 5.7 LS1 and a 4L60E to swap into my 79 Monte with the goal of making it a reliable daily driver. I know a lot of you have the 5.3 or 6.0 and are also more performance minded than me, so much of the knowledge I've read has small variations that I need some clarification on. I want to keep the a/c, but I'm looking at using transdapt mounts, an iceman crossmember, and the cts-v pan. Many of you have modded your truck accessories for fitment in some way or another-how do I need to mod the a/c to make if fit since I'm running the f-body set up (without altering the hood)? Also, there's the debate on headers: BRP if you want an easy fit for top dollar, but pacesetters work as well (and possibly S&P and edelbrock)? Finally, I've got to figure out the fuel system; I want an internal pump for peace of mind and I've read a baffled tank from a GN or TBI monte is a good way to go. Is this what you'd recommend? What's the easiest way to make this work out, especially concerning the sending unit and running the lines? I'm a newbie at all this if you hadn't figured it out yet haha but I appreciate your patience and advice. Thanks for the help, guys.

OK, the pan, cts-v is the best one as its shallow unlike the truck pan, just make sure to get the pickup tube. The a/c bracket should be found, but I can't find my websites

its basically a relocation brakcet to put it up in the passenger side sitting a bit higher. Headers, well, I've got the BRP midlength. Gas tank, you can order new from advance, its 175 for a baffled tank (tell them 87/88 monte with 4.3 TBI) The sending unit is sold at Gbodyparts.com and I orderd the fuel pump from summit, it was for a grand national and good to 550 hp. All of that is in tank. Fuel lines, ect might best be found from boosted lq9 as he has the car intake with his.
