I'd call Holley and ask their tech support. Almost certainly it's going to need a different tune to make it work. Plus there are probably other differences in the air bleeds and such. Might be an easy swap requiring just a jet change, might be much more involved than that.
I'd run it like it is for now. Make sure it's at least working properly before doing any mods to it. You won't notice 100 CFM difference very much, if at all, during street driving. Probably not all that much difference even at the track on a mild combo.
I'm a big believer in trying out what you got before modifying. Then when you do the modification you can tell how much difference it makes. Get a known baseline and then chart the changes.
I've gone as fast as high 12s with little tiny 600 CFM Holley 1850 vacuum secondary carbs on some very mild street combinations- and plenty of people have gone a lot faster than that with a small carb.
