7.5 rear end

hey guys will the stock 7.5 rear end in my malibu hold up to a built 355 makin 475hp and a 200 shot with 4.11s and a mini spool on et streets? im very worried about it breaking and the axel sliding out, any advice?

it will not hold up i busted the ring gear off of a 7.5 and dont waste your money on a mini spool or a 7.5 save you money and get a good rearend.trust me i have been down that road.i have 12 bolt with all strange compents in my it came out of a 67 chevelle.hope this helps

You'll spend more money on the 7.5 than you would on a good rear end, so if you have deeeeeeeeeeep pockets then yeah it will hold up for a little while.....

Boy I love to give the benefit of the doubt BUT if you have 475 and then hit it with another 200 shot of NOS...I really think your pushing it...Axles are JUST too small ...As stated maybe a few lucky passes and then kaBOOM...inevitable unfortunately

Yeah, that's pushing it even for a built 7.5. You could probably swing it with street tires, but soon as you put some sticky ones on there, it's only a matter of time.
