Fiberglass dash came in today, gonna try to mock it up this week. Any ideas on mounting this thing?

as far as mounting, whats the backside look like?
its completely flat, not a single tab or anything 😂 I think i'm gonna weld tabs along the bottom of the windshield and one on each side and use dzus fasteners, 4 or 5 in total.

Mocked up the dash last night, really happy with how it is turning out, just need to permanently secure it and make a support bracket of some sort for the instrument cluster. IMG_0577.JPEG IMG_8751.JPG IMG_8752.JPG IMG_8753.JPG

Haven't touched the Malibu much lately, been trying to finish up my third gen since it's so close. But i started making a panel for gauges in the stock cluster housing. Also I got some Trick Chassis frame braces in. I'll probably have the cluster and dash actually mounted this week. IMG_8859.JPG IMG_9009.JPG IMG_9023.JPG IMG_9100.JPG IMG_9107.JPG

Over the weekend I went to the Carlisle swap meet and found a manual gear box for $25 not positive if it would even bolt into the car but I bought it anyways. I cleaned it up real good, extracted a broken bolt, re-greased it and put some paint on it, now i just need to get the right pitman arm and steering joint for it.

Got the first tub formed pretty nice and tacked in last night, I'm feeling good about how its turning out so far. Certain spots are a bit troublesome to weld but I'll figure it out. IMG_0405.jpg IMG_0403.jpg

Is that the OEM collapsible steering shaft with different ends attached?
[/QUOTE
The bigger DD shaft is from an astro van with a new U joint welded on, the other end is 3/4 DD shaft from amazon that i cut to length with a u joint welded on, but if you have a stock gear box and column an astro van shaft should bolt right in and they have U joints on both ends from the factory.

I thought the Astro van shaft would clock the steering wheel 90 degrees. You avoided that issue by welding your own joint on the upper shaft.
not 100% sure on if it clocks it or not, i needed to do the upper to connect to the Motion Raceworks column. and my lower section to have the right splines for a manual gear box
