They at the shop said it was a no can do because of the big hole (to access the axle bolts) But ill look into that!

It seems that it´s not possible.

Bummer, looks like new Axles, or Wheels.
Used Axles that can be shortened, redrilled & resplined would probably cost as much or more than new.
