9" with disk questions??????????????????

ok as you guys know i scattered the 7.5 and im going with a Q/P 9 inch with their 11" disk with parking brake..ok heres my question
1. will i need to change the master and to what if i do?
2. and the factory distribution block leave it or chuck it?
3. do i put a proportioning valve in the rear line to cut the pressure?or in the front?
i looked thru tommys FAQ but im confused :? :? :?
any help would be great guys

#1 Yes. You need a disc/disc master. The stock one is for disc/drum & will not move enough fluid to properly actuate the rear brakes.

#2. Yes. The stock valve is not just a distribution block. Its a combination valve. The pressure settings are wrong for rear discs.

#3. Maybe. It's a matter of how the front/rear bias ends up and that's all dependant upon what combination of front/rear brakes you have. BTW, you can't add rear brake pressure with one, only back it down. You don't use a prop valve on the front brakes.

Contact QP & find out what size master cylinder bore the calipers need. That's about all I can tell you with mixed parts like you have. Do you still have the stock front brakes? If so you're going to have a lot of trouble with rear lock up, even if you get a bias valve.
