I bought the ebay special truck air filter, and the MAF is WAY too small to fit!

Its prob for a newer truck the new bodystyle trucks are a bigger maf and throttle body i believe.
Hmmm. It said 99-03. The filter adapter is what doesn't fit, so I'll just get a different filter from advanced/autozone.
Theres a factory rubber "adapter" thingy you might need. I had to get one from the stealer for a truck application.

I know this has been late in time but there is only one solution i think on your issue and that is to ask the auto maker about the service manual for the parts. It's your right unless your warranty is expired. On the other hand you can check out several online retailers about Chevy Air Filteror can ask the mechanic on what to do next.
