I am looking at upgrading my from brakes from the old calipers, rotors and rubber hoses. I notice at the track that i cant really hold my car at the line because of poor clamping force. I have a ati treemaster with a 3500 stall and try to get it up to about 2800 rpm at line but wont hold. The car will start to push through. So i am thinking about going with some summit calipers steel braided hoses and drilled and slotted rotors. Or is there a better way to go i have seen the s-10 spindles and brakes are the way that alot of guys r going but what all is involved with that swap. I also want to add that i have manual brakes on the car.

I have yet to install mine, but I bought a set for the front from Summit. They are powdercoated red, and while they have the "SUMMIT RACING EQUIPMENT" logo on one side, they also say SSBC on the other! So, I'm VERY happy. Great price on them, and they look awesome! Can't wait to install them, but I'm working on my other Malibu now...

well i have been looking at the s-10 brake up grade and called around to some salvage yards and found the whole set up for only 65 a side so i bought a set of them so hopefully they will be good. With the bigger rotors and two piston calipers. They guy had a nother set if there is anyone interested in the if you are close to wichita,ks. Northwest auto salvage.

I am thinking that this will be better then the upgraded calipers because i am getting a dual piston instead of a single one and also the brake pads r bigger.
