Will a one piece bench seat from a 1984 Buick Regal fit my 1978 Monte Carlo with a one piece bench seat with on problems(direct bolt in)?THANKS

Hi,I got this bench seat from a 1984 Regal installed in my 1978 Monte Carlo fits great,but it seems that the drivers side will not go back far like the pass. side,and the seat is closer than the original bench seat,and help on trying to get the seat to go back,I have tried rocking in myself but the pass. side seems to only move?THANKS
