swapped over to weiand stealth 8018 intake from P.P. Hurricane. I ordered felpro 1275 gasket as advised from weiand"s instructions. Ports on gaskets not even close to sealing. I could see port opening through extra bolt hole above runners. Figured gasket slipped< so ordered another 1275 gasket set. Same problem. I know there was no slip this time. I paid close attention and rtv around water ports held it beautifully. Anyway. Took intake to ap store and matched up perfect with ultraseal 5828 gasket. So now the motor is buttoned up, everything sealed perfect. No internal leaks. Problem??? Gasket material protruding past manifold appears water wicked. Mr.Gasket says the gasket should not absorb water. Motor is running better than ever. Do you think I should just run it and see if a heat cycle or two cures the moisture in the gasket or should I bite the bullet and replace yet another gasket set. This time with a felpro equivalent. Sorry for being long winded but wanted to be as clear as possible. Thankyou for any insight.
