As stated previously you have to cut the bearing ends off to 1/4" away from the backing plate flange, and then notch the backing plates to allow for the c-clip elim to mount flush to the flange, I just finished this on my 7.5" 10 bolt on Monday
well I guess the 7.5 is different... never done that to a 12bolt or ford 8.8.... the backing plate simply gets sandwiched between the c-clip eliminator and the housing flange, I cant see how it'd need to be clearenced any.


X2 I did a spool and c clip eliminators in my 12 bolt and I didnt have to cut a thing. I used Moser axles though, and the eliminators have to be pressed on.

sorry guys can't get the pics my camera is hoopied, must be that cheap $100 camera I bought lol. going cheap always seems to bite you in the @$$.

The 9" ends I put one my 8.5 under my camaro don't leak and I have had them on there for 5 years.
