DBW throttle body problems

I have the drive by wire stuff on my car but it is not working. It cycles when the key is turned on but nothing after that. Is there any way i can test the ecm, pedal, or the little box for the pedal? Hooked up my brothers scanner and it wasn't throwing that code, just fuel temp code and a transmission code and c086b, p1041 but the last two i tryed to look up and some people were saying something abou ghost codes. Any help would be appreciated, Thank You, Brian.
