Ok , Well we need to figure out what is messing up your pinion angle cause those rears will mount in Identical to each other. Same angle etc.... Man?? Maybe the housing is tweaked and yo ucan not see it with the naked eye? Jim
pinion angle depends on the rear set-up like ladder bars four link and the amount of movement in the pinion itself. stock is 4 degrees negative. when power is applied it will move up to zero then relax at normal drive condition.
UNDER full load you want the drive line to deliver power straight through the components. BUT it can not stay this way as the cups will not spin and it will eventually not lubricate.
For ladder bar cars it will be 1-2 negative as there is not much flex in the system when load hits.
NO hop bars change the pinion angle to more straight right off the bat. so you get the feel of really great launch it change the weight transfer of the cars load on the drive line. give the car more leverage using the car weight. Go to the library and get a book on chassis set-up good toilet reading...lol.
I am not a chassis man by any means but it is a start for you.
