yes it will allow air in thru the cap..on the top near the outside cover part above the sealing o-ring..thru the center valve in the middle of the cap..i installed the new stock cap..drove it for about 30 min.s one full bonzia run and lots launchs..about 10 min.s at 55 ran good and didnt run out of fuel like before or leak!!!,,,so far problem solved..when i opened the cap there was a slight vacuum but not much..so air's getting in there!!..thanks guys
