got my lq9 yesturday!

hey guys i finily got my 6.0l lq9 i found it in a scraper near my house its off a 2003 escalade its got 79000 miles but i get only the motor no acesories and no intake(dont matter going carb) and no transmission!!! paid it 1000$ so i think its a good deal!!!

what do you guys think???

Congrats.

Man I cant wait until I get my LS engine. I worked out a deal on a trade with a guy on a 2001 Z28 with an LS6. He has a turbo ststem and new forged internals to go into the car. So I am going to swap in a 5.3, 6.0 and use the LS6 in my bu. dancin_banana.gif

i wanna now what you gius sugest for a good cam i am going whit the edelbrock set up whit a 750 double pump carb??? give me some ideas and some dyno numbers if you have them???

I think for a street motor they still hang around the 230º mark on duration, but have more lift. It's surprising the power a stock long block can put out!

In the deal, I will be getting a GM hot cam. So while the engine is out of the car I will probably put it in the LS6.
