got my malibu back... couple Q's

after a long hiatus (traded the Bu for an 87 Fox) i got the old Bu back. i've got a couple parts piggybanked but not alot of money to go with them lol. here's what i've got.

torqerII intake
750 vac sec. holley
KnN filter assembly
N2O works nitrous kit (barry grant)

the car has a th350 and a stock rear with some steeeeeeeeep assed gears (dosent like the interstate lol) currently is sitting high in the front because it dosent have a motor.

the plan is (because i'm on a budget) get a vortech headed truck motor with some drop on beehive springs, use my intake and carb and the rest i need help on...

need some recomendations...

need a cam... this is a fair weather cruiser.. drivability isnt a huge concern. i want power... i'm a junky. i would like to use something in the thumpr line, but thats a tight lsa for n2o (125 shot max, biggest jet i have lol)

need a set of headers. i've read on here a bit and it seems like a set of 1 3/4 hedman's should fit the bill, anything else you would recomend?

since this is a fair weather car i plan on putting a healty stall in it... maby a TCI superstreet fighter. i want to get out of the hole fast. car has v6 springs all around.

anyone have any suggestions on anything i may have left out or need to put back in? thanks, i'll post some pics of the car later dancin_banana.gif glad to have the bu back!

i would go with one of the summit brand cams, thats what i run with a blower they have a 114 lobe seperation which is perfect for blowers, nitrous, turbo's. maybe the sum k1108 or 1109. perfect for being on a budget.
you can look into schoenfeld headers, and maybe run a 4000 stall.

i was planning on something in the 4k range for the stall, thought the ss fighters were a 4k stall? the motor is going to be ran N/A the vast majority of the time. i just want a cam that will work with the nitrous, but be biased towards N/A. whats the tightest lsa i can get away with using a 125 shot?

yea, i know about the different bolt orientation... just let it slip my mind, thanks for bringing that back to my attention. what are they worth (torquerII's) $60 or so?

gotta go with a x2 here. ran the combo on the desktop. sweet numbers.

sounds about right. although, i have seen them on craigslist, media blasted, powder coated for about 100.00

how sweet were the numbers? N/A mainly. and what could i expect for 1/4 mile times on and off the bottle... never drag raced an auto

i wouldnt go any lower than a 112 lobe seperation. with a good intake, heads, converter and cam you'll be in the 12's easy
