grill and header panel question

some of the 82-up had this set up but i dont know if 82-up had 2 headlight set ups

My 80 Classic grille has nothing on it but the Header panel had the "stand up" ornament. I replaced the ornament with an NOS flat badge that goes in the same spot because I think hood ornaments don't look right with cowl hoods.

Where can a person find "the flat badge" to replace the hood ornament? If they're cheap, when I get my car painted I wouldn't mind replacing my broken stand up ornament with something that lays flat, but looks a little more finished.

you can find them on ebay really cheap. i bought one for my old malibu and monte for between 5 to 10 bucks each. that would be the best place to check for one unless someone on here is parting out a malibu with one still on it.

I got an NOS one form DixieMonteCarlo. They took my "standup" for more or less a direct trade. \/
