305s suck *ss hole bore it and stroke it to a friggin' 350. it's the same block only stroked differently and you will get a hell of a lot more hps out of the 350 than a 305. also you shouldn't have any problems with the wiring.

He may not be made of money.

You would spend more money having the machine work done to make it a 350 than you would buying a good 350 core. That being said, if you want to put a TPI motor into a G-Body it's not too hard, but you will need the high pressure pump to run from the tank. There's been quite a bit of talk over different ways of running the pump. I believe you can run a stock TBI Monte Carlo sending unit with a TPI F-Body pump, just make sure your lines are up to snuff (aka not rusted out). For the wiring, if your car is a year that had a computer, there will be a hole in the firewall just below the heater / a/c box for the wiring, though you may need to make it larger to run the wiring for the computer through. You could use the stock wiring/computer if you're on a budget, or you could go with an aftermarket plug & play setup from somebody like Painless (http://www.painlessperformance.com). These computers were pre-VATS though, so you should be able to just hook up the battery, power, ground, and the sensors and be all set (so long as you have an unmolested harness). It would be a good idea to have the ALDL hookup and SES light connected though.
