Shoot, I would try it. I have those headers on my car. The stainless is poor quality, they are rusty looking after 3 years of running. You have to either slide the steering column over a little or dent one of the tubes on the drivers side to get them on a G body. If (when lol) those cheapo turbos take a dump, you can always replace them with something better. There have been several guys on TheTurboForums.com use the cheapy scamBay turbos with pretty good success.
From everything I've read,I wouldn't go with the internal wastegates-usually too restrictive,JMO.You could buy the manifolds separate and build from there.

I have a pair of the upright headers,kinda look like block huggers and they are really nice. I you seen the article in Car Craft about the Ebay turbos on Tokis 55 chevy,that would be them.
