is there anyone using the stock mastercyclinder w/o the booster if so tell me what mods you had to do because someone told me that you could do that but this was coming from a guy with a 79 camaro

just get a stock replacement master for a non power brakes malibu... thats what i did!

Do NOT use the original power master. It's not safe, the pedal will suck, and it's all around a bad idea.

After consulting with many drivers of Malibu's and Monte Carlo's, I decided to try the power master with the modified brake pedal pushrod position.

Most of these guys that have done the brakes this way, did not do any research, just did it and it works, at least for them.

This is a disk front and drum rear setup.

Will have the car running soon and do some testing and report on the effectiveness of the brakes as well as the pedal effort.

I can now confirm that the setup works perfect, feels like a factory manual setup should.

I am surprised at how stable and straight the car tracks on the way to 120 mph.
