I am thinking about making the conversion to manual brakes and I was wondering what are the benefits as well has anyone calculated the weight savings from stock to manual conversion?

Im actually just about to do the opposite. Can't stand manual brakes anymore on the street. Track only car, sure. Street, heck no. A Toyota Camry can out stop me. Not good.

I wouldn't think that there would be much weight savings. What does a vacuum booster weigh?

Now if you have a GN or T-Type removing the original Power Master brakes will save you some weight.

If its a drag only car then its a no brainer. If you drive on the street I would keep my power brakes.

Yeah its a street and strip car. I was looking to clean up the engine bay and remove some unnecessary weight and I thought it may be better, but thanks for the pros and cons. I think I will wait or go a different route.
