limited slip differential question

i recently purchased a 2000 trans am rear end for the brake setup. before i junked the rest of the axle, i remembered that they had limited slip diffs and was wondering if i can use it in my malibu. i test fitted it in my rear end and as far as i know it looks like it will work other than the ABS reluctor wheel barely rubbing the inside. can i just remove the reluctor or should i grind the inside enough for it not to rub.? i realize i will also have to get axles because of the spline difference. i wasn't sure if anyone new about this or has done it before. any help would be appreciated. thanks- brian

I know the carrier will work but not sure if the ABS ring is removeable or not.

The relucter is just a press on item. You can either press it off for someone to reuse OR cut it off with a grinding wheel if you do not care about it. You will need aftermarket 28 spline axle shafts and you will be GOOD to GO. :) Jim

PM if you need help with the 28 spline axles. Jim
